A good actor headshot should look like you, on a very good day.
I’m a portrait and actor headshot photographer based in Montreal, working with performers in film, television and theatre. My approach is to create headshots that feel natural, expressive and specific to you. During the session, we work with subtle changes in expression, energy, wardrobe and light to create a range of images that can speak to different casting possibilities without feeling forced or overly styled.
Sessions take place in my Montreal studio, with the images displayed on a large screen as we shoot so we can review and adjust together.

Every actor arrives with different experience in front of the camera. Some have been auditioning for years. Others are preparing their very first professional headshots.
My sessions are collaborative and relaxed. We begin by talking about the kinds of roles you naturally play and what you currently need.
Throughout the session we review the images together on a large screen, making small adjustments to expression, posture and wardrobe as we go.
The goal isn’t to manufacture different characters.
It’s to reveal believable sides of you.

Your headshot should feel current, natural and recognizably you.
I recommend bringing three to five wardrobe options with different colours and levels of formality. Small changes in clothing can subtly change how a photograph feels without turning it into a costume.
Choose clothing that supports your natural casting rather than disguising it. Well-fitting clothes with simple patterns usually photograph better than oversized garments or busy prints.
If you’re unsure what to bring, you’re welcome to send me photos beforehand. I’m happy to help you narrow down your choices before the session.
Come well rested, hydrated and without trying anything dramatically new the day before.
The goal isn’t to create someone new.
It’s to create photographs that casting directors believe.
Sessions take place in my studio in St-Henri, Montreal, easily accessible by metro and with parking nearby. You can find information and book directly on this page.
